By Emily Eppley | July 16th, 2018

In the all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks, technology does more than just keep you connected. It keeps you safe, comfortable, and entertained. From Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration to exclusive Bose speakers in the driver’s headrest, the 2018 Kicks’ tech features are there to make your commute more enjoyable from start to finish. And with all its standard safety features, you’ll have confidence behind the wheel, even when the conditions are less than ideal. Here’s what you can expect from the new Nissan Kicks when it arrives in showrooms later this year.

The 2018 Kicks personalizes every ride with technology that’s all about you. Starting with the elegant and innovative “Gliding Wing” instrument panel that features a customizable infotainment system with a center-mounted 7-inch color touchscreen. You can from three interfaces: NissanConnect or make it mirror your smartphone with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The steering wheel-mounted audio controls and Bluetooth® hands-free phone controls help you keep your hands at 10 and 2.

Take a seat in custom comfort thanks to the available heated leather front seats you can program to turn on when you used your remote starter. Bid farewell to the chilly morning commute. The available automatic temperature control lets you find your perfect temperature and keep it there for your whole journey. You’ll also love the extra comfort of the zero-gravity seats that can help reduce fatigue, leading the way for longer outings and spontaneous road trips.

The all-new 2018 Nissan Kicks, the newest entry in the fast-growing affordable compact crossover market, made its North American debut today at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

For the ultimate audio experience, the Kicks offers the new Bose® Personal Plus sound system. Part of the Bose® Small Vehicle Series, it delivers a superior, driver-focused listening experience using just eight speakers and proprietary signal processing to provide what Bose® calls “360-degrees of immersive sound.” Not only do the speakers create an incredible atmosphere for your passengers, but this system treats the driver to a pair of lightweight 2.5-inch Bose® UltraNearfield neodymium speakers inside the driver’s headrest. You can adjust the levels via the touchscreen to create a personalized sound that’s unforgettable.

Get more visibility, thanks to the available Intelligent Around View® Monitor that uses four on-board cameras to present a virtual 360-degree birds-eye view of the vehicle. You’ll have split-screen close-ups of the front, rear, and side, giving you a view of every corner of the car. It also gives you heads-up when it detects moving objects near the vehicle so you can react. This is class-leading technology in the subcompact crossover segment and offers a step on the road to Nissan Intelligent Mobility.

There is also a plethora of standard safety features on the Nissan Kicks meant to help with vehicle upkeep and protect you in dire situations. The standard tire pressure monitoring system and tire-fill alert help you mitigate surprises on the road. Plus, the vehicle dynamic control with traction control system helps you maintain your steered path while reducing wheel spin in low-traction situations. And when you brake suddenly, the anti-lock brake system helps you maintain control while electronic brake-force distribution sends extra force to the rear brakes to compensate for additional rear passengers or cargo.
