2019 Nissan LEAF Arrives With No Changes
The 2019 models keep on coming, and this time it’s the 2019 Nissan LEAF making its debut. For the new year, the LEAF will carry on unchanged, including its pricing.
In 2018, the Nissan LEAF took on a brand-new look that was far more traditional than the previous generation. This new appearance added a little extra sportiness with sharper ridges on the hood, liftgate, and nose. Inside, the LEAF was a little more EV-like with its high-tech shifter and blue stitching. Short of those bits, the LEAF’s interior also became surprisingly more traditional.
While its exterior was more traditional, the new LEAF’s powertrain became more advanced than ever in 2018. Its electric motor saw a power increase to 147 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, which were boosts of 40 ponies and 49 pound-feet. Despite its power increase, the LEAF also saw its range jump to 150 miles — an increase of 43 miles.
The 2019 Nissan LEAF carries on with all the same styling and powertrain details.
Even without changes, most vehicles see at least small price increases with each new model year. The 2019 Nissan LEAF’s prices, however, are completely unchanged. The prices are as follows:
- 2019 Nissan LEAF S – $29,990
- 2019 Nissan LEAF SV – $32,490
- 2019 Nissan LEAF SL – $36,200
The LEAF continues to come standard with a ton of high-tech equipment, including the e-Pedal, automatic emergency braking, automatic headlights, Nissan Intelligent Key, keyless ignition, Bluetooth audio streaming, SiriusXM, hands-free text messaging, automatic climate control, and more. Buyers can also add navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bose premium audio system with seven speakers, quick-charge port, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, surround-view camera, and more.
