Nissan Celebrates 50 Years of Z Car With Special 370Z
The 2020 model year marks the 50th anniversary since the 1970 debut of the SCCA-winning BRE 240Z. To celebrate this anniversary, Nissan will offer a Sport-trim-based 2020 370Z 50th Anniversary Edition with a special paint job and more.
The 2020 Nissan 370Z 50th Anniversary will start with two special liveries that pay homage to the original BRE 240Z. One version will feature a white base with two red signature stripes on the side and red accents on the hood, trunk, side mirrors, and A-pillars. This model also comes with a silver base coat with black accents in the same areas. There is also a red or black line that runs from the edge of the headlights to the C-pillar.
Rounding out the exterior upgrades are 50th anniversary badges on the front fenders and rear fascia, and a rear spoiler delete. On the corners are 19-inch alloy wheels with red accents.
Inside, the 50th Anniversary Edition model adds a special steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara with a center stripe, leather-and-suede seats with unique contrast stitching and embossed 50th Anniversary logos, dark-chrome accents, special kick plates with Z logos, suede door panels, and a 50th Anniversary logo on the tachometer. Rounding out the updates is an eight-speaker Bose audio system.
Like all 2020 Nissan 370Zs, the 50th Anniversary Edition will feature a standard 3.7-liter V-6 engine with 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. This will pair with a standard close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission with rev matching or a quick-shifting seven-speed automatic.
